Anti-aging Skincare Is About Looking After Yourself

Try to relax.

Stress, internal and external, emotional and physical, can take its toll on our appearance.

Stress keeps us from sleeping, and making sure to get a good night’s rest is essential to maintaining a young and healthy glow.

Try not to play with your face too much.  Oil can easily be transferred from your hands to your pores.  And by no means should you ever pick at pimples or scratch at your skin.

Let your skin heal naturally.  Picking and scratching at your skin can lead to scarring.

Anti-aging Skincare Solutions Are Close To Home

The most important thing to do if you want to reduce the effects of aging on your skin is to use sunscreen.  The sun wreaks more havoc on our skin than anything else.

It breaks down the DNA and hardens the outer layers.  Women who spend too much time in the sun without sunscreen often have excess lines and a leathery texture to their skin.

Not only does it help prevent cancer, but sunscreen often doubles as a moisturizer.  Dry skin looks much older than moisturized skin.

Wash your face twice a day: once in the morning and once at night.

While washing your face in the morning might seem un-necessary, especially when you wash your face at night, it’s important to know that while you sleep your face is a resting ground for all sorts of airborne agents (not to mention dead skin cells that don’t fall off) that clog pores.

Washing your face doesn’t have to be an expensive procedure.  A simple cleanser followed by some moisturizer is all you really need.

- Do you burn easily when you try tanning in natural sunlight? While some people are lucky enough to have skin that withstands the tests of the sun, the majority of us get sunburned if we’re out in the rays for too long.

Not only does it hurt, but it’s obviously bad for your skin. Indoor tanning can prevent the problems of sun burn by giving you than tan in a more controlled environment.
